Work Requests
Residents can now contact the Facilities Services office directly for Work Requests. If you have questions about the process or require additional assistance, please contact your Area Coordinator. Please note that when you submit a request, it constitutes permission for Facilities Services staff to enter your room without additional notice. Work will not be completed where access is impeded by furnishings or personal belongings.
Emergency Requests
These requests should be called in directly to the Facilities Services Office at 794-7278 (open from 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.) or during evening and weekend hours to Security at 794-7711. Emergency requests are those that directly impact resident safety and/or require immediate action. Examples include but aren't limited to:
- Lost room or building keys
- Gas odor
- Power outages
- Heating or air conditioning issues
- Flooding or water leakage
- Broken door or door knob that prevents access to or exit out of a room
- Broken furniture that's unsafe to sleep or sit upon
- Blood borne pathogen (bodily fluid) spills anywhere within the building, including student rooms
- Please note that charges are assessed for this service
Maintenance Requests
These are requests related to repairs that prevent further damage to college-owned property and buildings. Requests of this nature are considered second in priority and are handled as expediently as possible to relieve residents of any undue discomfort or inconvenience. Since early detection of maintenance issues minimizes future problems, we encourage you to take the time to report these issues when they occur. Examples include but aren't limited to:
- Broken window blinds
- Cracks in windows
- Bubbling or chipping paint
- Dripping faucets
Courtesy Requests
Requests of this nature are defined as those that are over and above the normal scope of Facilities Services. These are considered lowest in priority and are dealt with if and when time and resources permit. These requests include:
- Lofting or delofting beds
- Moving heavy furniture within a room
