        <description><![CDATA[With a lineup that most often included five freshmen and an additional two players in their first year in the Augustana program, coach Kris Kistler’s Augustana softball team finished the 2011 season with an overall record of 19-19 and a CCIW mark of 5-9. While this was the first of Kistler’s 12 Viking teams not to achieve a winning record, the abilities of this year’s youngsters point to a bright future.]]></description>

Watson collected six hits, including two home runs and three doubles as the Vikings beat Knox by scores of 6-5 and 10-2. With the double victories, Augustana closed out the season with a 19-19 overall record.]]></description>

        <description><![CDATA[Clutch hitting by North Central, along with some defensive struggles by the Vikings, led to a doubleheader sweep by the Cardinals Saturday afternoon. A two-out solo home run in the sixth inning gave North Central a 4-3 win in the opener and an eight-run fourth inning in the nightcap help the Cardinals roll to a 12-3 win. Augustana is now 17-19 on the year and finishes CCIW play with a 5-9 record.]]></description>
