Plans after graduation
I am moving to Minneapolis this summer to work at the Science Museum of Minnesota as a program instructor as well as for a grass fed beef cooperative called The Grass Fed Cattle Company. Next year I plan to spend time learning and working non-academically-spending lots of time with family and friends and developing various skills and interests such as yoga, which I will study in India for a few months. Perhaps the following year I will attend graduate school for ethnobotany.
How did Augustana prepare you for life after graduation?
With the help of Augustana, I am not only learned, but I am happy and kind. And because of this, I know that no matter what I do in the coming years-be it directly related to what I have studied or not-I will be well.
What are you looking forward to about life after graduation?
Utilizing the skills and knowledge that I have spent four years honing.
What will you miss about Augustana?
The lovely people-friends, teachers and other staff-and the beautiful landscape.
What was your favorite memory from Augie?
I couldn't possibly think of just one. The myriad opportunities I have had to learn from and teach myself and others.
What advice would you give to current students?
Get into what you are doing here and now. Don't concern yourself with what you have done or will do, but with what you are doing right now, here at Augustana.
