Plans after graduation
I will be completing a 3-month accounting internship in London to complete the requirements needed to sit for the CPA exam and to gain international work experience. I will also be doing some traveling this summer.
How did Augustana prepare you for life after graduation?
I feel as though Augustana has prepared me well for what lies ahead. I feel that the liberal arts education and the extra-curricular activities Augustana offers have made me a well-rounded individual. I embrace the challenges ahead.
What are you looking forward to about life after graduation?
I am definitely looking forward to starting my career and moving on to the next stage of my life. I'm proud of my achievements at Augustana, and I'm ready to use what I've learned in school and apply it in my profession.
What will you miss about Augustana?
The environment. At Augustana, I'm surrounded by the friends and people I care about the most. I will really miss them.
What was your favorite memory from Augie?
My favorite memory from my time at Augustana was studying abroad in Vienna, Austria. On my excursion, I learned a lot about myself and I had the opportunity to explore many different cultures. It was an experience that will always live with me no matter where I go, and something that I will never forget.
What advice would you give to current students?
Take chances, do what you love, be involved and cherish every moment. College is only four years, but the experience lasts a lifetime, so be sure to make the most of it. It's not always about getting good grades, it's about the connections you make with people and the life-long friends you'll have after you graduate.
