2009-2010 Season - Women are ranked 30th heading into CCIW

Ainsley Fedler is the top sprinter for the Vikings heading into the CCIW championship this weekend.

Heading into the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin women’s track & field meet, Augustana is ranked 30th in the NCAA Division III dual meet national power rankings. Last week the Vikings of veteran head coach Fred Whiteside were 18th with 151.32 points. This time around Augustana moved up in points to 155.36 but dropped to 30th in the rankings.

The power ranking is sponsored by the US Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCA) and it encompasses the top two performances by each team in every event.

Augustana will compete in the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin championship on Friday, May 7 and Saturday, May 8 at Wheaton College in Wheaton, Illinois. Last week the Vikings placed fourth at the Fighting Scot Invitational in Monmouth, Illinois.
