2009-2010 Season - Vikings ranked 22nd in NCAA Division III
The Augustana Vikings have moved into 22 nd place in the latest NCAA Division III women’s track & field outdoor power rankings. Veteran head coach Fred Whiteside’s team piled up 137.41 points in the most recent poll. Williams College is the number one ranked team in the nation right now with 172.59. The power ranking is sponsored by the US Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCA) and it encompasses the top two performances by each team in every event.
So far this season the Vikings have recorded second place finishes at the Early Spring Opener and the Vikings Olympics. They were fourth at the Lee Calhoun Memorial and sixth at the Augustana Invitational.
