2010 Season - Softball moves into top ten in latest poll
The Augustana Vikings softball team rode an eight game winning streak to the number nine ranking in the latest NCAA Division III ranking, according to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association. Veteran head coach Kris Kistler's team is currently 16-5 overall and is ranked 9 th with 126 points. A double header sweep on April 1 over CCIW opponent Wheaton propelled the Vikings up from last week's 11 th ranking. North Central is the only other CCIW school in the top 25, making their first appearance in the polls at the 24 th spot.
Augustana jumps back into action on April 8 th with a double header at home against St. Ambrose, starting at 4:00 at Carver Field.
