2010 Season - Vikings are 11th in NCAA softball
Riding the crest of a six game winning streak, the Augustana Vikings softball team still dropped one spot in the latest NCAA Division III ranking, according to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association. Veteran head coach Kris Kistler’s team is currently 14-5 overall and is ranked 11 th with 122 points. A week ago the Vikings were 10 th and they won six games in a total of five days, including four in the Augustana Invitational on Saturday, March 27 and Sunday, March 28.
Augustana will open the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin season this afternoon (Thursday, April 1) with a doubleheader at Wheaton.
