2009-2010 Season - Vikings sixth in Dual Meet Rankings

With only the NCAA Division III national championship meet left in the indoor season, the Augustana men's track and field team finds itself ranked sixth in the latest NCAA Division III Track & Field Team Dual Meet Rankings. The power ranking is sponsored by the US Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCA) and it encompasses the top two performances by each team in every event.

The current rankings have Augustana with 154.88 points with fellow College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin member North Central in the third spot with 162.72 points. For the sixth straight week, Wisconsin-Oshkosh (169.22) holds the top spot in the rankings. Fellow Wisconsin schools Stevens Point (163.23) and La Crosse (162.05) hold the second and fourth spots respectively while Eau Claire (158.38) is now fifth. Augustana's sixth place rank shows the Midwest region's dominance with the top six scores in the nation. Nebraska Wesleyan (149.20) and Central College of Iowa (145.63), both of the Central region, are seventh and tenth, respectively. Bates (eigth-146.57) and Lynchburg (ninth-146.24) round out the top 10.

The Vikings placed 2 nd in the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin conference championship to North Central on February 27 th . The Vikings will be sending one competitor, Patrick Zeunik, to the NCAA Division III National Championship at DePauw University in Greencastle, IN, on March 12 th and 13 th .
