Suspicious mail or packages
If you come upon a suspicious package, do not touch it. Call Augustana Security from an on-campus phone. Do not use a cell phone or any other electronic device. Leave the area if it's unsafe. The caller should be prepared to provide a location and remain in contact with the dispatcher. If possible, ask if Augustana Security should be contacted to provide assistance. After the call is made, the following should happen:
• The caller should evacuate himself/herself and others from the immediate area.
• Do not re-enter the area until Augustana Security or police declare it is safe.
