ENCW 441-442
A four-credit, two-term course, capped at seven students.

Term one: gather and revise a creative writing portfolio in the student's chosen genres. Mix genre projects are possible with prior approval. The portfolio will be modeled after typical MFA program writing sample requirements.

Term two: selected reading assigned by instructor, based on students' work. Ten-page paper on those readings, reflecting on the tradition from which the student is working; alternately, students -- especially those who are not interested in continuing along the academic creative writing path -- may write a ten-page reflective paper on what they wish to do with the skills they've learned from the creative writing major.

Creative Writing Minor

Six courses: Writing and Literary gateways, plus one 300 level writing course
