On October 31, 2009, the Augustana Vikings women's soccer team clinched its first-ever outright College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin championships with a 4-1 win over Elmhurst College.
Senior Lauren Polock scored to break a 1-1 tie with just less than 11 minutes left in the game, and the Vikings poured it on from there.
Augustana, ranked sixth in the nation, finished the regular season with a 16-1-1 record, the best in school history.
