2009 Season - Radloff CCIW Player of the Week
NAPERVILLE, Ill. – The College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin announced Wednesday that Augustana goalkeeper Kayla Radloff (West Chicago HS, West Chicago, Ill.) has been named winner of the league’s Player of the Week award on defense. Elmhurst senior midfielder Courtney Constantino won the award on offense.
Radloff recorded her eighth shutout of the season in a 1-0 win over third-ranked Illinois Wesleyan on October 24 and added her ninth Wednesday night in a 1-0 win over North Central. Her efforts helped the Vikings remain undefeated in conference play at 6-0 with a chance to sew up a perfect league record Saturday, October 31, when they host Elmhurst. Augustana is 15-1-1 overall.
Now 14-1-1 on the year, Radloff has recorded a 0.50 goal against average with an .826 save percentage. She becomes the fourth Viking to win the award this year, joining Taylor Moesle (Carl Sandburg HS, Orland Park, Ill.), Erin Coulson (Neuqua Valley HS, Naperville, Ill.) and Caitlin Winkelman (St. Charles North HS, St. Charles, Ill.). Coulson is a two-time winner.
Kayla is the daughter of Janet and Rusty Radloff of West Chicago, Illinois.
