Ways to Save

While merit scholarships, grants, talent-based awards, student loans, and work study make up a large part of your financial assistance package, there are other ways you can save at Augustana College. Check out these events and awards, open to high school seniors entering in Fall 2010.

Academic Department Open House and Scholarship Competition

On January 16, 2010, high school seniors have the opportunity to visit campus, learn more details about their intended majors, meet faculty and staff, and compete for additional scholarship. Find a schedule of events and register today online.

Good Fit T-shirt Photo Contest

If you've been to campus, you received a free Augustana t-shirt. Submit a photo with you wearing that shirt into 4 different categories: best action shot, at another college, best group shot, and in a famous location. There will even be a "people's choice" winner. Visit the Good Fit website to view entries, read contest details, and submit your own.

Travel Award

For students living outside the state of Illinois, an additional award is available to cover extra expenses for travel purposes. Making a visit to campus and applying by February 1, 2010 and submitting your travel award application by March 1, 2010 will make you eligible to apply for the Travel Award.

Early Filer Award

As part of the admissions process, we ask that all families complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Submit this form on or before February 15, 2010 and the extra award will be automatically included in your assistance package. See our financial assistance webpage or www.fafsa.gov for more information.
