Commuter students
Information you and your family need for Fall Connection 2009, Augustana's orientation experience for new students, will be waiting for you at the College Center Loft Lounge when you check in between noon and 1 p.m. on Thursday, August 20, 2009. All students will receive the following items in their Orientation packet:
1. Campus maps. You will receive two maps in your packet: a campus map will help you navigate the grounds of your new home, and a second map will direct your family to their Thursday meeting with your first-year advisor.
2. Fall Connection 2009 schedules. We will provide a detailed schedule of all Fall Connection events, as well as events scheduled for new students during the week following. You'll also find a second schedule listing only Thursday events, an easy reference for your first day on campus.
3. Your personal name tag. This is more than just a name tag because it lists your Advising Group number and other important information not provided elsewhere. It's yours to wear throughout Fall Connection 2009 to identify you as a student, to help others learn your name, and to identify your assigned advising group, meeting locations, and the names of your peer mentor and first-year advisor. All of this information is conveniently printed on your name tag so you can refer to it at any time. Please place the name tag around your neck as soon as you receive it.
