Three Augustana softball players were named to the all-region team in the Great Lakes Region by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association, it was announced today. Juniors Brittany Snoreck (Carl Sandburg HS, Orland Park, Ill.) and Karlee Quaritsch (Palatine HS, Palatine, Ill.) and sophomore Dawn Kernich (Mt. Olive HS, Mt. Olive, Ill.) were the honored Vikings.
Snoreck was a first team selection at catcher while Quaritsch made the second team at third base. Kernich was an at-large choice on the third team. Quaritsch was a third team all-region pick a year ago while Snoreck and Kernich are making their first appearances on the squad.
