Senior Art Exhibit: A year of thinking and theme

With themes ranging from vulnerability to beauty to strength and to sorrow, the Augustana College Senior Studio Art Exhibition opened Saturday, May 2 at the Augustana Art Museum. Eleven seniors spent the past year preparing works that will be displayed through May 24, continuing the rigorous tradition of Studio Art majors' Senior Inquiry.

Music department has busy month of May

In the first three weeks of May, the Augustana music department has 17 performances on its calendar, from student recitals to opera to the culmination of the year, the annual Music Festival of choir, band and orchestra.

After 10 years, McBain stepping away from festival

After 10 years of helping others chase their dreams in the theatre, 61-year-old Melissa McBain, an Augustana education professor, is set to retire from teaching to pursue a writing and acting career of her own. She will produce her final festival on Sunday, May 10, a 7:30 p.m. show in Wallenberg Hall.
