Making new memories each year at Messiah

Each year since 1881, Augustana students and faculty have joined the Quad Cities' Handel Oratorio Society to carry on a very special Christmas tradition, the singing of G.F. Handel's Messiah. This year's choir and newly formed Handel Oratorio Society Chamber Orchestra will perform Messiah in mid-December at Centennial Hall. (more)

Opera for the holidays Nov. 20-22

Augustana's opera singers will delight audiences with their heartwarming performance of "Little Thieves of Bethlehem" from Friday, November 20, through Sunday, November 22, at 8 p.m. in Wallenberg Hall at Denkmann Memorial Building (3520 7th Ave.). The opera is set in Bethlehem after Jesus' birth and follows three outcast children who find new hope in the Christmas story. (more

Liberal Arts through the AGES exhibition

A special exhibition in honor of Augustana's upconing sesquicentennial, Liberal Arts through the AGES will be on view Nov. 17, 2009 through March 27, 2010. The college Art Museum is closed during breaks Dec. 18–Jan. 12, Feb. 14–March 9. (more)
