2009-10 Women's Golf Fall ReviewThe Augustana women’s golf team completed its fall season with a seventh place showing at the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Championships. Freshman Megan Vandersee led the team with a scoring average of 90.8 during the fall season. Head coach Ron Standley’s Vikings competed in eight events this fall, finishing with an overall mark of 41-20. | |
Vikings finish seventh at CCIW meetThe Augustana women's golf team finished seventh at the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin championship meet on Friday, October 2 and Saturday, October 6 at the Highland Park Country Club in Highland Park, Illinois. The Vikings finished the two day event with a total score of 780 after shooting 395 in the first round and 385 in the second round. | |
Vikings finish fourth at St. Ambrose ClassicThe Augustana women's golf team finished fourth at the two-day St. Ambrose Classic this past weekend. The first round was held at the Glynns Creek Golf Course in Parkview, Iowa with the final round coming at Emeis Golf Course in Davenport, Iowa. Freshman Megan Vandersee led the Vikings with a 10th place finish. | |
Vandersee third at Iowa Wesleyan InviteFreshman Megan Vandersee shot an 82 and placed third overall to help lead Augustana to a fourth place finish in the Iowa Wesleyan Invitational on Friday, September 18. The tournament was played on the par 72 layout at the Muscatine Municipal Golf Course in Muscatine, Iowa. | |
Wilkinson shoots 88 to lead VikingsFreshman Morgan Wilkinson turned in her best round of the season on Saturday, September 12, shooting an 88 and tying for 14th place in the 87 player field at the Monmouth Invitational in Monmouth, Illinois. Augustana placed in a tie for 8th out of 14 teams at the event, completing the day with a team score of 379. |
