Tom Lawrence takes over as women's golf coach

Tom Lawrence was named the head women's golf coach at Augustana in May of 2013. A former Augustana team captain in the sport of men's cross country, Lawrence has made golf one of his passions after playing basketball and running track & cross country during his younger, competitive years.

Vandersee named MVP of women's golf

Senior Megan Vandersee has been named the "Most Valuable Performer" for the 2012-13 Augustana women's golf team. She led the Vikings with an average round of 87.4 strokes, with her lowest single round score of the season being a 78 in the first round of the Maryville Spring Invitational on April 7.

Vandersee, Lawrence fourth at Augie Invite

Senior Megan Vandersee and junior Jamie Lawrence each shot an 88 Saturday to tie for fourth place at the Augie Invite at Emeis Golf Course. Augustana wrapped up its spring season, shooting a collective 366 to finish third behind Wisconsin-Platteville (349) and Monmouth (363).

Senior Megan Vandersee and junior Jamie Lawrence competed this weekend at the Millikin Spring Classic at Scoville Golf Course. Both Vikings fared well, with Vandersee finishing in a tie for ninth and Lawrence placing 15th among more than 50 individuals.

Vikings place 11th at Maryville Invitational

A short-handed Augustana women's golf team finished up a busy weekend with an 11th place finish at the Maryville Subway Spring Invitational on Sunday, April 7 and Monday, April 8 at Aberdeen Golf Course in Eureka, Missouri. The Vikings were the lone NCAA Division III team in the field as the other 10 teams were all NCAA Division II institutions.
