The Augustana women's cross country team was led by freshman Theresa Coverick on Friday, November 6 at the Junior Varsity Cup, which was hosted by Luther College in Decorah, Iowa. Coverick finished second in the race with a time of 23:41.

Four freshmen in top seven at CCIW meet

The fact that the Augustana women’s cross country team is very young was clearly evident on Saturday, October 31 at the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin championship. The Vikings finished sixth in the team standings and four of the team’s top seven runner were freshmen.

Freshman Theresa Coverick, who has been splitting her duties between cross country and soccer this fall, turned in an outstanding performance on Saturday, October 24. Coverick placed second individually at the St. Ambrose Fighting Bee Invitational at Crow Creek Park in Bettendorf, Iowa.

Women 18th at Drews/Neubauer

Hannah Hottle (Monmouth-Roseville HS, Monmouth, Ill.) finished 65th individually, leading a contingent of seven Augustana runners to an 18th-place finish at the Jim Drews/Tori Neubauer Invitational Saturday, October 17. Hottle ran a 23:36.3 over the 5,000-meter course.

Hottle leads way at Dan Huston Invite

Junior Hannah Hottle led the way for Augustana at the Dan Huston Invitational on Saturday, October 10 in Waverly, Iowa. She placed 22nd with a time of 23:57 over the 6000 meter course that was laid out on the campus of Wartburg College.
