Wrestlers place five at Knox Open

The Augustana Vikings had a good day at the Knox Open in Galesburg, Illinois on Saturday, November 14. Five of head coach Eric Juergens' wrestlers placed with George Gogonas (125) and Alberto Quiros (141) leading the way with third place finishes.

Gogonas takes third at Loras Open

Senior George Gogonas turned in the best showing for the Augustana Vikings at the season opening Loras Open. The non-scoring tournament was held in Dubuque, Iowa on Saturday, November 7 at Loras College and Gogonas placed third in the 125 pound weight class.

Juergens anxious to get wrestling season going

Eric Juergens is excited heading into the 2009-10 wrestling season. The third year Augustana head coach is anxious to get started with a team that he figures to be much deeper and stronger than either of his previous two Viking units.
