Join us as we share food, stories and ideas within the Augustana community of faith.
God calls each of us. How do we live out God's call daily? Martin Luther's understanding of vocation honored all of the different callings one might have in life, and recognized that a calling to be king or a servant, teacher or student, mother or father is equal to a calling to be a pastor or priest. Dig deep into the big question of who God calls you to be and how you live that out daily. Connect with students looking for examples of the many ways a faithful person can work in the world.

WorldTeach - Volunteer Teaching Experiences: Summer & 10-12 Month
"WorldTeach provides opportunities for undergraduate volunteers to teach in developing countries, making a meaningful contribution to schools and communities that are in great need of teachers. Most volunteers teach English, and students range in age depending on the placement. In some countries, volunteers may also teach math, science, computer skills or HIV/AIDS awareness.
Volunteers work as full-time teachers, as employees of their host school or sponsoring institution in their placement country. Most volunteers live with a host family or on the school campus, and participate fully in the life of their host community. WorldTeach year programs are 10-12 months in length, and the summer programs are about two months in length. Tara Bordenaro - CVR Winter Intern
The Center for Vocational Reflection welcomes Tara Bordenaro to the team! Tara is a senior here at Augustana and will be graduating in the spring with majors in Spanish and Business and a minor in Psychology. She is interning at the CVR and the Office of Student Activities this winter to learn more about college affairs. In fact, Tara loves college so much that she has decided to make a career out of it! After doing some reflecting, Tara recognized her vocational calling to help others can be expressed well while working with college students in a variety of settings and she looks forward to further exploring this path. Tara enjoys reading, traveling, meeting new people, and spending time with friends and family.
