2009 MEN'S INDOOR TRACK & FIELD REVIEW

Ted McMillan and Kyle Ekberg earn All-American honors; Vikings end the season ranked seventh in NCAA Division III power ranking; Augustana claims five events at CCIW; McMillan named Field Athlete of the Meet.

Ted McMillan and Kyle Ekberg earn All-American honors in indoor track & field and Vikings finish 11th in team standings

The Augustana Vikings placed 11th in the NCAA Division III indoor national men's track and field meet on Saturday, March 14th at Rose Hulman Institute of Technology in Terre Haute, Indiana. The Vikings scored 14 points with two athletes earning All-American recognition.

Six Vikings have met NCAA Division III national qualifying in 10 events in men's track & field

A total of 10 Augustana athletes have qualified for the NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field championship in 12 events. The Vikings have four athletes in five events on the women’s side and six athletes in seven events for the men.

Ted McMillan and 1600 relay lead men's track & field team at Stevens Point Open

Ted McMillan and the 1600 relay both eclipsed the NCAA Division III national qualifying standard at the Wisconsin-Stevens Point Open on Saturday, March 7.

Vikings are ranked sixth in NCAA Division III men's track & field poll

The Augustana Vikings men’s track & field team slipped one spot in the NCAA Division III national track & field poll after placing second in the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin indoor track & field championship on Saturday, February 28. This is the fifth consecutive week that the Vikings of veteran head coach Paul Olsen are in the top 10 of the poll, which is conducted by the United States Track & Field/Cross Country Coaches Association.
