Augustana sophomore Lawrence Palmer was named to the first team of the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin all-conference team in men's tennis. Palmer, who played number one singles for the Vikings all year, was the lone Augustana player on the 13-man squad.

Vikings lose to Carthage in third place CCIW match

After taking a 2-1 lead coming out of doubles, Augustana couldn't hold on and dropped 5-4 decision to Carthage in the third place match of the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin men's tennis tournament on Saturday, May 4 in Bloomington, Illinois. The Vikings end their fine season with a 19-11 overall record.

Vikings drop close decision in CCIW semi-finals

For the second time in two weeks the Augustana men's tennis team dropped a hard-fought 5-4 decision to Wheaton. The first time was in a dual meet at home on April 20 and this one came in the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin semi-final on Friday, May 3 at the Evergreen Racquet Club in Bloomington, Illinois.

Junior Grant Wick came up with a thrilling, come-from-behind victory at number six singles to clinch Augustana's 5-4 victory over Carthage on Saturday, April 27 in Kenosha, Wisconsin. That enabled the Vikings to defeat the Red Men for the first time since 1999, snapping an 18-match losing streak.
