Fidlow wins MVP for men's soccerSenior midfielder Sean Fidlow was selected as the Most Valuable Player for the 2011 Augustana men’s soccer team, it was announced today. Fidlow, a three year letterwinner, finished the 2011 campaign with 13 goals and six assists for a total of 32 points. The 13 goals put Fidlow tied for 11th all-time on the single season goals scored list. Fidlow was also named to the All-CCIW second team for the second consecutive season. | |

Augustana lands two on All-CCIW second teamThe College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin announced its men's all-conference soccer team today and Augustana senior forward Sean Fidlow has been named to the second team for the second consecutive year. Sophomore defender Michael Buric was also a second team selection. | |
Vikings win wild one over ElmhurstBrett Bleecher's goal in the fourth minute of overtime gave Augustana a 3-2 win over Elmhurst Saturday at Thorson-Lucken Field. The Senior Day win allowed the Vikings to finish the season with a 13-6-0 overall record and 3-4-0 in the CCIW. They fell just short of qualifying for the conference tournament. Elmhurst is now 8-6-4 overall and 3-2-2 in the league. | |
Vikings get 3-1 road win over North CentralAfter falling behind 1-0 early in the second half at North Central Wednesday, Augustana responded with three goals to claim a 3-1 win. Matt Shipon, Sean Fidlow and Grant Halter each found the net in the second period for the Vikings, who improved to 12-6-0 on the year and 2-4-0 in the CCIW. The Cardinals are now 9-5-2 overall and 1-3-2 in the conference. |
