	Lee, Westemeyer, Rosset, Meyer earn MVP honors Three seniors and a sophomore took home Most Valuable Player honors for the 2009 Augustana football team at the Vikings’ annual awards banquet. The seniors were defensive back Aaron Setchell, offensive tackle Blaine Westemeyer and Andrew Rosset while the sophomore was David Lee.
	Westemeyer breaks mold in winning Gagliardi In a historic and unprecedented move, the Jostens Company has named Augustana senior offensive tackle Blaine Westemeyer as the winner of the 2009 Gagliardi Trophy. The Gagliardi Trophy goes annually to the NCAA Division III Outstanding Football Player of the Year.
	Westemeyer is finalist for Gagliardi Award The list of awards won by Augustana's Blaine Westemeyer continues to grow. He has now been named one of four finalists for the 2009 Gagliardi Award, which is given annually by the Jostens Company. The Gagliardi Award recognizes excellence in athletics, academics and community service. Westemeyer was the winner of the North Region.
	Westemeyer receives NFF honor in New York Augustana senior offensive tackle Blaine Westemeyer will graduate in May as one of the most decorated athletes in the Vikings' storied athletic legacy. On Tuesday, December 8 Westemeyer (shown pictured here with former Heisman Trophy winner Tim Tebow of the University of Florida), added one more chapter to his story. He was one of just 16 football players across the nation to be awarded an $18,000.00 postgraduate scholarship by the National Football Foundation.
	Trio of Vikings to represent USA in Mexico Three Augustana senior football players have been selected to play in the 2009 Tazon de Estrellas (Bowl of the Stars) on Saturday, December 19 on the Tec de Monterrey Campus Estado de Mexico, it was announced today. Offensive tackle Blaine Westemeyer, wide receiver Jake Parke and defensive back Aaron Setchell are among the 51 players selected to be members of "Team Stars & Stripes".
