About the Program

With 22 CCIW championships, 15 NCAA Division III playoff appearances and four national championships, Augustana ranks with the elite programs in all of small college football. With national championships from 1983 to 1986, Augustana remains the only school in NCAA history, at any level, to win four consecutive national football championships. Head coach Jim Barnes returned to his alma mater in 2000 to lead the Vikings. He's guided them to three of their conference titles and two post season appearances.
