Zook advances to nationals

Senior and co-captain, Chris Zook had an impressive showing at the Midwest Regional on Saturday, November 14 as he led the Vikings and finished eighth overall with a time of 24:43. Zook's finish secured him a spot at the NCAA Division III National Meet where he will race his final cross country race in blue and gold. As a team, the Vikings finished seventh scoring 175 points. The meet was hosted by the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh and was held in Winneconne, Wisconsin at the Lake Breeze Golf Course.

Freshman Nathan Smith took first place in the Junior Varsity Cup meet with a time of 26:57. The meet was held at Luther College in Decorah, Iowa on Friday, November 6.

Vikings 11th in latest NCAA Poll

After a second place finish at the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin meet on Saturday, October 31 in Elmhurst, Illinois the Vikings lost only to top ranked North Central College. The Vikings of veteran head coach Paul Olsen went from 10 th to 11 th in the weekly rankings, which were released today by the U.S. Track & Field/Cross Country Coaches Association.

10th ranked Vikings take second in CCIW

Senior Chris Zook finished in the top 10 and freshman Jonathan Smith was named "Freshman of the Year" in the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin men's cross country championship. The meet was held on Saturday, October 31 at Eldridge Park in Elmhurst, Illinois.

Despite finishing third in a 35 team field that included six teams ranked in the top 30 in NCAA Division III, Augustana slipped a place in the weekly men’s cross country poll.
