I am the Jaeke Professor of Family Life
in the Department
of Psychology at Augustana College in Rock Island Illinois. I
received my Ph.D. in Educational Psychology at the University of Iowa,
and have been at Augustana since 1971.
I teach primarily
in Family Life, Child Psychopathology, Introductory
Psychology , Statistics, History
of Psychology and LS113.
My research
is investigating the relationships between parenting, educational style and
self-esteem, and we have recently begun a new research project
investigating the relationship between depression, needs and personality
variables as they relate to marital satisfaction.
I am a licensed psychologist
in Illinois
and continue to consult primarily
in the areas of assessment of children and executive coaching.
I am an avid golfer and
compulsive exerciser.
