Historical Sketch
The Manufacturers Lodge was organized in 1872 in Moline, Illinois, as an Odd Fellow Lodge. On May 9, 1933 the Coal Valley Lodge #304 merged with Manufacturers Lodge and in 1937 the Manufacturers Lodge merged with the Swedish Olive Lodge in Moline. No printed history accompanied the collection.
Content Note
The collection includes minutes from meetings for the time period 1872 – 1937. The minutes gives an insight into the activities sponsored by the lodge, financial transactions, elections of officers and benefits paid to ill members. The membership records include biographical data of the members, such as date of birth and residential addresses. The collection also includes various member certificates, sick reports, and burial information.
