Alumni Dear Delta Chi Theta Alumni, As springtime is here and the campus comes alive with color and new pledges, the active members of Delta Chi are reminded of traditions and memories shared with their sisters of today and during their days of pledging. On behalf of our current members, Ashley and I would like to update you about what the sorority has been up to over the past couple of months. Homecoming this year was filled with fun. Our quad consisted of Poobahs, Alpha Sigs, and COGs. With themed-parties such as 80’s, Anything but Clothes, Geriatrics, and New Years, each night brought fun and excitement. We took second place in the sing competition with our own theme of “Pink, Green, and Rock ‘N Roll,” dancing “till the break of dawn” with rock songs. All in all, it was a great week. However, by far the best part of Homecoming was the Alumni BBQ at Kavanagh’s on Saturday. Thanks to everyone who came to the event; we really appreciate you taking your time to be with us and sharing your Delta Chi memories. Keep reading for our next Alumni get-together J Delta Chi Theta continues to pride itself on service. This year our biggest service project was Toys for Tots. By shopping and organizing toys in a warehouse for needy families, we made sure that all kids in the Quad Cities area had something to open on Christmas morning. We were also the group with the biggest numbers at Dance Marathon this past month. As for intramurals, Delta Chi pulled off an exciting overall IM Cup Victory for the 2006-2007 year. This year we’re hoping to keep the tradition alive with another big win. We are proud to welcome our newest pledge class the Delta Chi Diamonds. They have recently just finished pledging and they were the first class in a long time to have no members quit and all 30 girls activated. We are currently organizing more Alumni Events for the spring so the new members can get to know our past members; the girls who have made the sorority what it is today—all of you!
