Together with the Office of Student Life, the Office of Intercultural Student Life supervises three culture houses.
The Black Culture House is located at 3249 10th Avenue on the walk between the library and Westerlin. It is available for small group fellowship, tutoring, studying and meetings. It is equipped with a library and historical artifacts of African and African American culture.
Casa Latina is located on the library circle drive at 3416 9 1/2th Avenue. Also available for small group fellowship, tutoring, studying and meetings, it has a wall mural which depicts aspects of Hispanic culture. The mural is a collaborative effort of Augustana students and community members.
Pagoda, the Asian culture house, is located at 912 34th Avenue, west of the library. It serves as a gathering and meeting place for faculty, students and staff to meet, share presentations or simply hang out.
All houses are available for use by campus organizations and can be reserved by contacting the culture group presidents or the Office of Diversity Services.
Also available is Tredway House. Located at 3244 9th Avenue, it is a facility which provides space for Augustana departments, clubs and organizations to host meetings, presentations, study groups or simply relax. It is equipped with an internet cafe, a media room, a large living room lounge and a large backyard for hosting barbeques and receptions.
