Dr. Christina Lorge-Grover
Christina is returning to Augustana with ten years of housing and residence life experience from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point and Augustana College. Her background includes a degree in history from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire , a Masters Degree in Counseling from Western Illinois University and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Edgewood College. She is married to Matt Grover and has three children: Madison, Mitchell, and Holden. In her free time she enjoys reading, running, and traveling.
Assistant Director/Coordinator of Medical Support Services
Alisha brings professional experience from Western Kentucky University where she worked as a Hall Director in the Housing and Residential Life Office and the Coordinator of Undergraduate Retention in the Academic Advising and Retention Center. During her time as a Hilltopper she earned a BA in History and Social Studies and a MAE in Student Affairs. She resides on campus with her husband Jay and son Cooper. In their free time they spend their time at local swim meets where Jay coaches and traveling the area.
Cathy was raised in the Quad City area and has worked for Augustana College since February 2005. She joined the Residential Life team in August of 2013. She enjoys helping our students and in her free time enjoys spending time with her children, Bailey, Riley and Autumn.
Professional Hall Staff
Area Coordinators (ACs) are full-time, professionally trained staff members who manage an assigned residential area. They supervise staff, advise student groups, coordinate building programming, and address behavioral issues.
Joe Sperlak, M.S., - Westerlin Residence Hall
Joe joined the Residential Life Staff last year as the Area Coordinator for Westerlin. Born and raised in WI, Joe graduated in 2011 with a Bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. He then attended Mississippi State University where he received a Master's in Exercise Physiology and Strength and Conditioning. While there, Joe was a Graduate Residence Director and was also involved in campus recreation and university athletics. Joe enjoys fitness, nutrition, and spending time outdoors.
Joe Sagar - Andreen Residence Hall
Joe Sagar joins the Residential Life staff this year as the Area Coordinator for Lower Campus here at Augustana, Andreen Hall and Seminary Hall. Originally from Manchester England, he came to the States to get his Bachelor Degree from McKendree University in Physical Education and Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from The University of Nevada. Joe enjoys helping the soccer teams, spending time with his dog "Bazel" and his beautiful wife, Jess.
Shane Thomas - Swanson Commons Residence Hall
Shane is joining the Residential Life Staff this year as the Area Coordinator for Swanson Commons and TLA. Shane grew up in Cobb, Wisconsin and graduated in 2012 with a Bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville. Shane then attended Eastern Illinois University and received a Master's Degree in Student Affairs. While at Eastern, Shane was an Associate Resident Director and spent some time working in the Office of Student Standards and the Office of Student Success. Shane enjoys spending time with family, taking road trips, and is a "die-hard" Packer fan.
Rob Erwin - Transitional Living Area
Rob is an Augustana Viking through and through.
As a 2008 Magna Cum Laude graduate with a degree in Mathematics from Augie, he has spent the majority of his professional life coaching college football. He has coached at Montana State University, Northern Michigan University, here at Augustana, and most recently at South Dakota Mines
Jordan Leuschen - Erickson Residence Hall
Jordan is enjoying his first year on the Residential Life Staff as the Resident Hall Director in Erickson. Jordan came to Augustana College from the University of Northern Iowa, where he was a Quality Control Coach within the football program. Before UNI, Jordan was an Assistant Football Coach at UW-Eau Claire, where he also earned his Master's in Education-Professional Development. Jordan graduated from Central College (Iowa) with a degree in psychology and political science. Jordan enjoys athletics, traveling, and being with his family.
