Introduction to Augustana's Residence Hall Association
On behalf of the Residence Hall Association (RHA), we want to welcome you to Augustana College!
The Residence Hall Association (RHA) is a student body formed to benefit students in all aspects of residential life. We are dedicated to making the campus living experience better for residents by creating leadership opportunitites and providing special events and social issue programs. RHA is the governing body for all of the hall councils here on campus. This organization represents the more than 1,000 students we have living in campus housing. Representatives from Westerlin, Erickson, Andreen, Seminary, and Swanson Hall vote and give feedback to the RHA Executive Board.
RHA plans programs that promote community development and social interaction. This could include our Haunted House, Operation Christmas Spirit, Adopt-A-Squirrel, Pie Your CA, and other great events. RHA also promotes leadership and perosnal development through conferences, programs, workshops, and various board positions.
Getting involved with RHA can be very simple. Anyone can become a member of a committee or attend General Assembly meetings. You can also participate in hall meetings and programs and attend RHA activities! Information regarding RHA involvement will be coming soon. Easch meeting is filled with snacks, fun games, and a little business.
RHA provides services to you before you even arrive! We have carpet and linen sales to aid you in purchasing some of your supplies before you even come to campus. The carpets can be found at www.rhcarpets.com/aug and they will be specified to whatever room you will be living in and will be delivered before you arrive at school. Then, once you get here on campus all you will have to do is lay it down and you will be set. The linens can be found at www.rhl.org/aug and they sell a lot more than just sheets and pillow cases. Everything from bedding and towels to shower caddies and flip flops can be found here!
