Alpha Psi Omega (National Theatre Honors Society)

The purpose of the National Theatre Honor Society, Alpha Psi Omega, is to provide different theatrical experiences to those on Augie's Campus and off campus. We emphasize solely the art of theatre and bringing that to the campus and Rock Island community through performance and service. We strive to spread awareness about theatre. We try to provide great service to our community by doing what we do best, perform. Through our performances that we sponsor, we try to raise money for certain charities. There are two levels to membership: actives who have participated enough in shows to pledge the fraternity, and company members who one day plan on joining the active members.

Activities include:

Selling concessions for each main stage production

Partnering with local schools to do theatrical outreach

Electric Theatre Unplugged produces original student written short theatrical works

Experimental theatrical events

Vagina Monologues annual presentation/fundraiser for local women's charities

Relay For Life
