At Summer Connection and Transfer Connection, you'll meet an academic advisor and get acquainted with your new learning and living environment. At the end of the day, you'll be registered for classes for the fall term.
Starting in mid-April, new students will begin receiving Summer Connection and Transfer Connection packets from Admissions. Rreview the information carefully. It includes your studentID number, which you will need to complete several of the steps below.
Before you can register for Summer Connection or Transfer Connection, you must complete the following six steps:
ONE: Complete two placement tests and the Student Readiness Survey. For more information about why we require tests, see the Placement Guide.)
TWO: Watch for an email from us with a link to the Summer Connection or Transfer Connection registration. Within one week of completing the placement tests and survey, incoming students will receive an email from email@example.com with a link to register for Summer Connection or Transfer Connection.
THREE: Register for Summer Connection or Transfer Connection. After you've done so, you'll receive a confirmation email from firstname.lastname@example.org within a week.
FOUR: Complete your Housing Preference form by June 1.
FIVE: Submit final transcripts and other forms.
If you are a first-year student, ask your high school to send your complete transcript to Augustana (including the 2nd semester of your senior year). Transfer students, should request a final transcript from any college they previously attended.
All students need to submit an Immunization Form and a Request for Special Accommodations form (if applicable).
SIX: Prepare to join your new community at Connection 2013.
Bring the following items to your Connection event:
- A photo ID.
- Your Social Security card or government-issued passport. These will be needed for new student employment signup.
- Your completed Immunization Form if you did not already send it.
