E2campus and siren notification

As part of its emergency notification system, Augustana has partnered with e2campus to provide emergency alerts via text messaging and e-mail. Signing up to receive e2campus alerts requires the completion of a simple on line form. Subscribers are then offered the option of choosing to receive alerts via text messaging, e-mail, or in both formats. The system is offered to all students and college employees free of charge. the college may conduct periodic tests of the system which will otherwise be used only on an emegency basis.

In addition, the college has installed a siren system on campus. In the event of a tornado warning or other emergency, the siren will sound. An alert will then be sent via text messaging and e-mail regarding the emergency.
