Federal College Work Study
Any student who has been awarded Federal Work Study as part of his/her financial assistance package should see the student employment coordinator for help in locating a campus job.
When a student is recommended to receive an endowed scholarship, and currently receives institutional aid-whether based or not on need-the institutional aid will be adjusted by the dollar amount of the endowed scholarship.
Faculty/Staff Members and ISAC MAP Awards
All Augustana faculty, administration and staff members with a child or spouse enrolled in at least 3 credits must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) prior to March 1 if residents of the State of Illinois. Completion of the FAFSA will determine eligibility for the Illinois State Monetary Award Program (MAP). Illinois residents who are MAP grant-eligible but are considered late applicants by ISAC will lose MAP funds. These lost funds will not be made up with tuition exemption dollars. In addition, this process must be followed by all faculty, administration and staff members who themselves will be enrolled for at least 3 credit hours for a term, excluding summer. Those with a bachelor's degree are not required to file the FAFSA.
Family Allowance Grant
Students from families with two or more children enrolled full-time at Augustana are given a $3,000 family allowance in their financial assistance package. Students receiving $3,000 or more in gift assistance from any other source (state, federal or Augustana aid programs) are not eligible for this award. This grant is not available for enrolled married couples or in the case of a parent and child enrolled at the same time. Students who have completed a degree program or who have completed twelve terms of attendance are not eligible for this grant.
Financial assistance shall be readjusted when a student participates in an internship of seven hours or less.

To be considered for the scholarship, the student's pastor must send a letter to the Office of Financial Assistance prior to June 1 indicating the student is a member in good standing in the church.

Students who do not return the winter term after having attended fall term are not guaranteed the same amount of financial assistance if they return spring term.
