Monday 29th May 1865,
One Beautiful Morning
Cool last night, was quite
cool + nice to sleep and
I played well at my show,
not knowing anything until
broad daylight

30th Tuesday
Has been a very pleasant
day. I took a horseback
ride this evening late

31st
I was taken quite sick
during last night and
am confined to room
today, fasting my
old complaint
Rced [received] Letters to day from
Father, Mother, Sister
+ Bro Taylor Balt;
dressed my self about
8 Oclock and took little
walk for some Crackers +Tea
