Augie has given me the chance to travel the world while performing- from China to Scotland to Sweden, the music has taken me into culture and history that I never thought I could experience anywhere else. I have the opportunity to share my music with the world, as well as 60 of my best friends.

As student leaders, we are given the opportunities to attend conferences and events that help to surpass the norm. At these conferences, all participants are capable of gaining vital knowledge in a "business" situation. In addition, the participants have a great time expressing themselves and their school spirit. Being here at Augie has really given me the opportunity to advance my social performing skills on several levels.

At Augustana getting involved in campus activities is the best way to meet new people. Coming in as a freshman, I never would have guessed that one of the new activities I would try would be improv comedy. But I am so glad I did! Joining Heywire has allowed me to meet a bunch of great new people and I've even had the opportunity to perform off campus. So don't be afraid to try new things. I guarantee you'll be glad you did!

Being a part of the choir has created a whole new world for me, meeting new people, having new experiences, and learning so much more about music. Being involved with the choir has been like my home away from home, always having someone to go to and just a place to have fun at the end of the day (while also working hard of course).

As a speech communication major hoping to go into broadcasting, Augustana has opened up so many doors for me to activley partake in organizations and have experiences that a bigger school would offer to only a select few.

At Augustana you don't have to major in music to continue playing or singing past high school. I am majoring in Pre-Medicine and Biology and I still have plenty of time to participate in Concert Band, a Concert Band Wind Ensemble, Flute Choir, and also take flute lessons every week. I have been able to keep music, which has been a part of my life for so long, while pursuing a different major.

I love every minute of singing in Augustana Choir. Also, our 20 day tour to Sweden is coming up in a few months and everyone can hardly wait! Augustana has allowed me to continue my passion for singing along with providing amazing experiences!

Dance is so important to me! And so are the friends I've made in the Augustana Dance Company. I wonder how many of them know they used to keep horses in this old carriage house (before they turned it into a dance studio).

I wasn't sure if I'd be able to continue riding in college. So I'm glad Augustana is a place where a few students can start a club based on just about any interest. And the stables aren't even that far from campus.

Our shows take place on the Potter Theatre stage, but a great performance can take you, and your audience, to a different time and place.

Our coach has us run just about everywhere, but one of the best trails - and biggest hills - is right here on campus! It's gorgeous any time of year, but it always looks better going down than up.

At Augustana you'll find a hundred ways to explore and use your skills, gifts and talents. What do you like to do? Where do you want to go? Here we'll show you some of the places on campus you can go when you need to belong or to believe, to pursue or practice, to think or to act.
