Through scholarly experience, in and out of the classroom, my friends and I have learned to inquire upon how we can change the world. With the knowledge gained we have all developed inquisitive minds. Here one of my friends, Josh Morgan – class of 2010, is listening attentively to arguments from the right-wing opposition during the Model Illinois Simulation, while sitting at a Representatives desk in the House Chambers. The six individuals who attended MIG this year were exceptional in committee meetings and chamber sessions. Groups of students from Augustana have joined other schools, from across the state, at the Capitol in Springfield to participate in the preeminent government simulation for years.
