Art and graphic design portfolio review, scholarships

Prospective art students may submit their work to the faculty for portfolio review. Participating students receive individual evaluations of their work by the Augustana Department of Art faculty and are eligible for talent-based art scholarships.

Awards of up to $4,000 are applied to tuition and are renewed annually for students who declare a major or minor in art, graphics or art education, or who complete two studio art or graphics courses each year.

Portfolio reviews will be held in November and January. Dates for 2017-18 will be announced.

Portfolios should include six to 20 original works in any media. Life drawing is highly recommended as part of the portfolio. Interested high school seniors or transfer students should contact the Art Department to schedule a portfolio review. You also may submit a CD or DVD with images. Please indicate medium and size. No email submissions, please.

Applications have closed for 2016-17. Please direct questions to department chair Megan Quinn, 309-794-7158.
