Augustana’s Augustana Physics and Engineering Society receives honor

The honor recognizes Augustana’s chapter as a top-tier student-led physical sciences organization. This distinction is earned by less than 15% of top chapters nationally. The chapter has been advised by Dr. Cecilia Vogel since 1993.

2023 in review

2023 in review: Bergendoff renovations, Japan tour, and Slough draining and restoration

2023 marked a return for our music students traveling internationally, with a transformative band trip to Japan. We saw several campus improvements, including the Bergendoff and Sorensen renovations, and broke ground on the Lincoln Park tennis complex. Another in-progress improvement includes the draining and restoration of the Slough.

Graphic designer works his way up

Armed with a degree in graphic design, Shavaun Grant ‘16 returned home to the Chicago area after graduation and found plenty of opportunities. He recently was promoted to senior graphic designer, photographer and project manager at Sol-Millennium Medical Group.

Augustana’s football team broke loose for an 8-2 run in regular season play and a 7-2 third-place finish in the CCIW, thanks in part to the return of 10 fifth-year players this season.

Twenty-nine students of Augustana's Class of 2027 make up the inaugural cohort of the Brenda Barnes Leader-ship Academy. Alumnae will help these students develop leadership skills, inspired by the life of Brenda Czajka '75 Barnes.

The $11.2 million transformation of Bergendoff Hall is complete. Students and faculty are taking advantage of the new and updated spaces, including Larson Hall, the piano lab, ensemble rehearsal hall, practice rooms, Hamann Concert Hall and more.
