New direct pipe water coolers to replace bottled water

Because of the high bottled water usage in these areas, we have been able to contract with Purity Plus to replace the stand alone water coolers with reverse osmosis coolers in the following areas. Each of these areas will have unlimited reverse osmosis filtered water with hot/cold dispensers which will eliminate the need for lifting and changing bottles, and save the College approximately $1700 annually. Service will also include annual filter changes, cleaning and disinfecting of units.
UPDATE: The city of Rock Island plumbing inspector will not allow Purity plus to install these systems in a cost effective manner so at this time we will not be able to change to the reverse osmosis systems like we thought. A call is in to the chief building inspector to discuss this apparent unreasonableness. If something changes and we can in fact get these installed at some point in the future you will be informed.
