Waste Management and Disposal
Augustana College employees and students work with various chemicals in the laboratory, and elsewhere, that generate waste. The goal of proper waste management is to dispose of chemical, biological, hazardous, and other waste in a manner that is responsible and safe for our employees, the community, and the environment. Each laboratory employee is required to attend training on Augustana's waste management procedures upon their hire. Employees and students may refer to this page whenever questions or problems arise, review Augustana's Waste Management and Chemical Hygiene & Lab Safety Policies, as well as contact the EHS Office.
