Right to Monitor Computer Usage
All college-supplied technology, including computer systems and collegerelated work records, belong to the college and not the employee. The college may monitor usage patterns for email and Internet communications. Although encouraged to explore the resources available on the Internet, employees should use discretion in the sites that are accessed.
Because the computer systems and software, as well as the email and Internet connection, are college-owned, all Augustana policies are in effect at all times. Employees who abuse the privilege of access to email or the Internet may be denied access to technology resources and, if appropriate, may be subject to disciplinary action up to and including termination.
