Quad City Professional Development Network
Last year, Augustana College became the newest member of the Quad City Professional Development Network or QCPDN. The mission of the QCPDN is to share resources and to create professional development opportunities for faculty and staff that meet the common needs of member institutions. The Network embraces innovation, life-long learning, collaboration and cost effectiveness as guiding principles.
Other members include:
Black Hawk College
Eastern Iowa Community Colleges
Palmer College of Chiropractic
St. Ambrose University
Trinity College of Nursing & Health Sciences
Western Illinois University-Quad Cities
Many managers and supervisors have participated in the classes offered through the Professional Supervisor Certification Program and we look forward to begin participating in the Excllence in College Teaching Certification Program. Details on both programs are available at: qcpdn.org.
Earlier this fall, Augustana hosted the QCPDN staff exchange where we welcome 15 staff members from other institutions to send staff members with the following interests: Student Accounts Coordinator, International Student Support, and Campu Visit Coordination. Along with networking and a campus tour, participants had time for robust discussions about workplace challenges and best practices within these areas.
