Help teach English to recently resettled refugees.  The program Instructor needs patient individuals to work in small groups with non-English speakers on skills ranging from writing their names to learning the alphabet to learning to call 911.  When?  Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays anytime between 9am - 2pm * volunteer for 1 hour or stay the whole time.   Contact Lisa at (563) 370-2814

We assist in community events, and provide opportunities for students to assist with education regarding social services, domestic violence, etc.

Migration Project
Do you speak Spanish of French?  The Migration Project helps Quad Cities residents who are seeking U.S. citizenship.  They meet at the East Moline Library the 4th Thursday of each month from 9am - 6pm to assist individuals with the mass of paperwork involved in seeking citizenship.  An attorney is present via skype to be of direct assistance.  Volunteers are needed to serve as mediators, translators, runners, general helpful hands. An Augustana professor takes a group from 9am - noon but other times and transportation can be arranged.

World Relief Moline is a not-for-profit agency providing services to refugees and immigrants in Western Illinois and Eastern Iowa. World Relief's mission is to serve vulnerable populations in and through partnership with local churches, agencies, and the community-at-large. Our programs provide financial, emotional, cultural, and spiritual support to refugees - victims of war and persecution around the world - who are being placed in the Quad Cities.
Volunteer opportunities include Airport pickup, Friendship partner, New Arrival Grocery shopper, Good neighbor Kit Coordinator and many more!
