Competitive intercollegiate athletics are not limited to our 21 varsity sports. Club sports have proved a great opportunity for students to organize teams in athletic areas of interest and to practice and play at a high level. The teams compete both regionally and at National tournaments. Augustana currently has seven club sports: Men's Volleyball, Ultimate Frisbee, Crew, Fencing, Lacrosse, Rugby and Paintball. Extramural teams are another form of competition for students who want to compete at a higher level than just at the intramural level. These teams are formed out of the intramural program and compete regionally and nationally against other collegiate extramural team. There are currently four teams in this area: Men's and Women's Basketball and Men's and Women's Flag Football. |
