Never content to simply do a bang-up job here in the RWC, our tutors are constantly getting noticed for their involvement elsewhere on campus and in our community…
Maggie Hayes, an RWC peer tutor who is also involved in Augie’s Interfaith Understanding group, is in Israel over winter break with a group of 9 other student leaders from Illinois colleges for “outreach, education and advocacy programming.”
Peer tutor Rebecca Kamp, currently student teaching in Port Byron, Ill., received a Student Laureate Award from the Lincoln Academy in Springfield, Ill.
Peer tutor Hannah Bohn has been featured on the front page of the Augie site these past few weeks with an essay she wrote on her experience attending an Augie Open House as a prospective student.
Peer tutor and Augustana Observer reporter Lauren Ribando co-wrote the front page article “Faculty Vote Moves Semester Model Forward” for the Dec. 15 issue of the student newspaper.
Faculty tutor and new RWC Assistant Director Lucas A. Street was featured in the December issue of Acknowledge: Campus News and Views (scroll down to “New Face on Campus”).
Rock on, all!
