“I’ve heard it said that people come into our lives for a reason/Bringing something we must learn/And we are led to those who help us most to grow if we let them/And we help them in return/Well, I don’t know if I believe that’s true/But I know I’m who I am today/Because I knew you…” --For Good, Wicked
Ah sentimental songs that relate to your life. Well, school has ended and all of the seniors have graduated, which means that I am now a senior. How does that happen? I looked at grad schools yesterday. When did I get so old? As the final weeks of school came to a close, I realized something — yes, the seniors are graduating and I may never see them again. But they are still a part of me and made me who I am today.
Since school has ended, I have gone to a Switchfoot concert, saw a reenactment of the Civil War and I’m currently in Pennsylvania after spending four days back in D.C.
I’ve missed seeing the Capitol and hearing multiple languages spoken around me. And somehow I’ve even missed the metro system. We got to see how money is made (and even saw them print the new $100 bill before it was released) and walked a lot.
I’m super excited to see the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall this week!
