A window inside life at Augustana College

Back on campus

So I know it’s been awhile since I had the chance to blog and I apologize for not keeping everyone updated. Finals week was….interesting. I practically lived in the library. The finals themselves were a tiny bit less terrifying than I thought they would be. All the studying paid off and I am happy with my grades. As soon as I finished my last final, I was off to North Carolina with the Augustana Bell Choir. It was one of those activities that I had never done before so I wasn’t quite sure what to expect, but it was a great time. We stopped in Indianapolis and Catawba (about 3 hours outside of Raleigh) on the way to a huge bell choir festival. There were 504 ringers total! The music was beautiful, but with so many people playing at the same time, my ears rang for hours. On the way home we stayed in Knoxville and Springfield. All of the people that we met on the trip were unbelievably kind to us. Not only did they let us stay in their homes, but they were really interested in what we do in the choir and made sure that we had plenty of snack food to eat in the car.

By the time I finally got home Tuesday (yes break technically started on the Thursday before) I was absolutely exhausted! So pretty much the rest of my break included movies, sleeping, eating, playing with my adorable puppy who would not leave me alone, and hanging out with my family and friends. I was able to go to the apple orchard one last time and see my high school’s production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.

Now I’m back on campus and busier than ever! I decided to take four courses this term and, although it seems like I will have tons of free time since I have hardly anything going on Tuesdays and Thursdays, I am going to be busy!!!
